About the Role

We’re seeking a talented and self-motivated Full Stack Software Engineer using Java and JavaScript. You’ll be part of a cross-functional product development group using agile management and engineering practices. Although this is a Full-Stack role, we welcome engineers with a background primarily in backend or frontend development with a wish to learn and work across the whole stack.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the design, development and deployment of applications in a cloud-hosted distributed system to build our next-generation product

• Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify requirements and gather feedback in a fast-moving environment

• Providing input into architectural decisions to ensure stability and performance

• Identifying and implementing enhancements to continually improve our delivery process

• Partnering with cross-functional Agile and DevOps implementation teams to break-down, evolve and migrate legacy services

Requirements as a Full Stack Java/JavaScript Software Engineer:

• Demonstrate good experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Dropwizard and/or JavaScript frameworks such as Node.JS, VueJS or React

• Have good experience developing RESTful web services

• Demonstrate experience working in agile with Scrum, Kanban or XP

• Be familiar with agile engineering practices such as TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, automated testing and deployment

• Be a good team player who enjoys collaborating and solving problems with others

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal, communication and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences
