Tradeslink Recruitment are working with an up-coming market leader in electric vehicle charging who are looking for an experienced Senior Technical & Development Manager with the ability to build a team to service and repair Electric Vehicle charging points across the UK’s EV charging network.

As the Head of Technical you will be the main contact for your team of engineers ensuring smooth running of day to day, and offering support to customers.

What are the job duties?

  • Be responsible for compliance of the full range of EV (AC & DC) chargers
  • Be responsible for research and development into new and existing product lines
  • Hold full detailed product training for internal and external sessions.
  • Be happy to travel nationally with occasional international travel required.
  • Manage / implement workflows / processes and ensue these are followed internally.
  • Be able to liaise with overseas suppliers on tight deadlines and multiple topics at once during testing.
  • Working with 3rd party back-office systems for integration of charge points via OCPP.
  • Gain full knowledge of both AC and DC range of products.
  • Fault find / run diagnostics of chargers on and off site.
  • Manage, implement, and maintain a testing schedule for new and existing product lines.
  • To plan, coordinate and control the activities for a team to achieve objectives.

What will I need for this role?

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
  • Full UK driving license  
  • IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulation
  • ECS card (preferred but not essential)
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Knowledge of OCPP
  • Team Management Experience
  • Be a natural problem solver with a structured approach to problem solving in a technical environment.
