Working collaboratively within the Chief Security Office, within a dynamic team to help build and transition solutions to reduce the group’s risk posture. Working collaboratively with your colleagues, to enable the deployment of new technology and implementation of new operational services. Working in a fast-paced, agile team, who are leading the way in Cyber Security, to help improve the overall security posture of LBG. You’ll act as an SME to develop and deliver solutions from scope to delivery, using core Splunk skills whilst also supporting the transition of services to Operational functions within CSO. Working with project managers, service support teams and partners/suppliers; communicating and collaborating with others to ensure the smooth and successful transition of new and changed services.
Responsible for introducing and developing new technology to deliver effective controls whilst having a keen focus on continuous improvement (including automation) and our Building the Best Team initiatives
You should be able to demonstrate a collaborative approach in your delivery, leading and influencing across teams and sharing best practise
Your strong analytical approach and ability to find creative and innovative solutions, along with robust delivery across a wide range of processes and initiatives, will support the delivery of our One Team strategy
Acting as a gate keeper to ensure effective transfer to service teams in compliance with service dependencies and service readiness – developing the technical aspects of delivery whilst also helping to train and prepare operational teams to use the technology
Provide advice and guidance around Cyber Security best practice.
Actively participate and provide your expertise in service and process management meetings
Strong knowledge and understanding of security and operational requirements of commonly used operating systems
What we’ll need from you:
Technical Key Skills:
Splunk Core & SplunkCloud experience (extensive)
Development, Configuration and Rule Development experience
Devising innovative solutions to technical challenges
Diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from various sources
Awareness of Cyber Security related standard methodology
Management of critical data in accordance with policy and standard
Insider threat knowledge including use cases and 3rd party solutions
Writing process and user documentation
Change governance, including experience of Route to Live
Knowledge and experience of Insider Risk detection, prevention and methodology
with significant experience in developing & deploying User Behavioural Analytics
Solid grasp of the cyber threat landscape
Experience of planning and delivery
Critical thinking and problem solving
Solid grasp of governance and process (change, configuration, problem, performance, and operational management)
