Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
Hours of work: 40hrs Mon-Fri

Applicants must have experience of the following:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering
– Experience of programming PLCs & HMIs using Omron CX-One, Sysmac Studio, Schneider Electric ProWORX 32, Unity/Control Expert or Bosch Rexroth Indraworks software.
– Experience of working with drives and accelerator instrumentation
– Experience using AutoCAD
– Fully knowledgeable with engineering drawings and circuit diagrams.

Candidates would ideally have:
– BPSS Clearance
– SC Clearance

Role information:

– Implement and design new PLC and Human Machine Interface (HMI) – based control systems to monitor and improve the reliability/performance of the ISIS accelerator, including the design of plant, interlock and motor control systems.
– Prepare technical documentation and drawings, using AutoCAD, Meridian and other standard office software packages.
– Supervise the contract staff
– Oversee the manufacture and assembly of control system hardware.
– Produce test schedules and supervise the testing of control panels and systems in the lab.
