About this role

Based in our Ipswich hub and working closely with the Cloud Operations Lead, you are responsible for contributing to the design and deployment of new bespoke systems as well as supporting and maintaining existing ones. You should also contribute to innovation and development of new products, and process improvement initiatives. This role will require working as part of a team, supporting colleagues and collaboration with customers.

This role requires you to be able to obtain and maintain DV security clearance.

You’ll have the following responsibilities

  • Accountable: Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability – has responsibility for delivering and implementing aspects of security solutions for GSS customers.
  • Accountable: Plans own work in line with general direction to meet given objectives and processes.
  • Accountable: Responsible for resolving incidents and service requests in line with SLAs to enable continued system operation.
  • Accountable: To form part of an out of hours on call rota when required.
  • Leadership: Identifies and communicates opportunities that assist with setting technical direction, with respect to best practice for domains of operation.
  • You’ll have the following skills & experience

    Mandatory experience:

  • Service management experience within the IT industry
  • Ability to take responsibility, ownership and autonomy of delegated platform operations and deliverables
  • Understanding and experience of cloud computing in AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Understanding of DevOps and agile team methodologies
  • Degree Educated or equivalent Industry experience
  • Desired Experience:

  • Networking basics
  • Working with big data platforms
  • Virtualisation/containerisation concepts
  • Additional:

  • A DV level of National Security Vetting will be required for this role.
