Health & Safety Officer overview –

  • Ensure that all Health & Safety standards and procedures are correct and aligned with continuing accreditation. Liaise with other sites and provide support, feedback, and information on any Health and Safety updates.

Health & Safety Officer responsibilities include –

  • Provide leadership on the HSE systems and accreditation’s on-site.
  • Offer guidance, to ensure that all staff and visitors work in a safe environment.
  • Help prevent safety system failures and ensure that the company complies with its legal obligations, under all relevant legislation laws.
  • Manage all risk assessments, ensuring they’re completed to the required standard.
  • Ensure investigations are implemented, following the failure of Safety systems and reported incidents.
  • Contribute to any management meetings, with regards to HSE.
  • Supervise internal and external audits.

Desirable skills and experience –

  • Experience working with a similar role (manufacturing environment)
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
  • Fully conversant with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001.
