Their focus is on building long term partnerships, which result in strong, effective relationships with all of their customers. To develop their European client base they are now looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to join their expanding sales team.

Reporting to the Sales Director you will be tasked with generating new business as well as capitalising on existing accounts. Your role will carry significant responsibility and be autonomous in nature, whilst working closely with both the sales and operations teams. You will possess a good technical understanding of electro-mechanical engineered products in order to provide a solution sales approach. Internal Sales and Customer Service teams offer assistance as well as support from engineering professionals when things get too technical.

As the ideal candidate you will come from a technical engineering background, either as an engineer who moved into sales or a sales person with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Able to demonstrate high-level questioning and influencing skills, you will be well versed in challenging the ‘status quo’ rather than accepting standard practise, and you will be completely at home presenting in the board room or negotiating with buyers.

This company is part of a global group that is experiencing huge growth, mainly due to recent acquisitions within Europe, helping expand their global footprint. The group sells many different products within their speciality area so even if the customer is new to this division, they will most likely be supplied by another one within the group.
