Child Support worker roles available in Perth within a residential service supporting young people with emotional behavioural difficulties and autism. With a salary of £18,000-£25,000(DOE) plus sleepover allowances, based on a 40 hour working week. The service supports young people ages 8-18 years old with emotional and social difficulties to continue their education. Your skills as a prison officer are easily transferable into the role of a child support worker. You will find similar themes of boundaries, respect, rehabilitation are all present. Use your emotional intelligence and de-escalation skills to establish and maintain connections with young people. Support the development of vulnerable young people, whilst developing your own career!

A successful child support worker will be responsible for:

– Working effectively as part of a team of child support workers

– Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people

– supporting 4 service users in rural cottage

– Taking service users out into the community and to school each day

– Ensuring professional boundaries are in place

To be successful in your application, you will:

– Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people

– Have flexibility in the roles undertaken

– Have strong communication skills

– Register under the PVG scheme

– Full driving licence

– Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
