We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated postdoctoral researcher to join Dr Louise Boyle’s group () at the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge. This position, funded by Wellcome, will work towards understanding the molecular mechanisms controlling peptide selection for immune recognition by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules.

Postdoctoral candidates will be expected to hold a PhD, or equivalent qualification in immunology, biochemistry, virology or a related discipline and have a proven track record of success in biomedical research. In depth knowledge of the MHC class I antigen processing and presentation pathway is desirable.

Candidates should be skilled in mammalian tissue culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology and have experience with CRISPR genetic screens. Prior experience with analysis of mass spectrometry data and Python/R would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will become an integral and valued member of a multi-disciplinary group and will be expected to have strong written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to supervise students. Successful candidates will be expected to design and carry out research both independently and as part of a team.

This position is available from 1st October 2022 until 30th September 2025.
