Digital Business Change Advisor – £39, – Kidlington or Netley

I have an exciting role to support the Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police joint Digital Department, for a Digital Business Change Advisor. The role will be to support the Police joint Digital Department by developing and assisting with the implementation of the strategic Digital future through engagement with end users, oversight of in-scope projects and maintaining excellent working relationships with ICT stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead business change readiness assessments, mapping activity and identifying gaps between current and future state business processes.
  • Provide effective reviews of and updates on programmes of work and department initiatives, identifying risks and issues and proposing mitigating actions.
  • Provide advice and support to department Managers and their teams around Digital change,
  • Resolve queries and issues and share lessons learned with stakeholders across both forces’ Digital, ICT and Force Change departments.
  • Support Learning and Development and Corporate Communications colleagues with the creation of training content and communication materials to support Digital learning, gain buy-in and embed changes as business as usual.
  • Work in collaboration with business leads and Business Analysts to developing and implement monitoring, review and feedback mechanisms to ensure effective transition to new working practises.
  • Arrange, prepare and facilitate meetings, workshops and process walk-through reviews, testing and validating new digital technologies for process improvements and changes; ensuring actual outcomes match those predicted in business cases.
  • Provide knowledge and expertise in Digital provision and capabilities, using evidence to guide and influence across both Forces via formal and informal engagement.
  • Ensure new business functions and processes are appropriately documented, promoting best practise in terms of business change principles amongst department colleagues and stakeholders across both Forces.
  • Identify, define and track benefits and outcomes of Digital projects/programmes, to ensure we mature in our Digital capabilities and improve both Forces’ effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across both Forces, using these to facilitate change and new ways of working.
  • Your experience will include:

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent, or work experience deemed to have brought the candidate to a comparable level.
  • Proven experience of managing organisational changes and/or process improvements.
  • Sound understanding of change and/or project management principles.
  • Competent user of technology with experience of using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use technology to deliver Digital business change
  • Experience of working closely with users and stakeholders, understanding their issues through active listening.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, customer focussed, a team-worker, who is a flexible, adaptable, problem solver and able to work systematically with little direct supervision.
  • Experience working with senior business and technical stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of GDPR and the importance of maintaining discretion.
  • Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Forces and region.
