PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

1.0 WTE, 37.5 hours per week

Salary Scale: £23,709-£25,982

This is an exciting time to join the REH Pharmacy Team as we move ahead with a 5-year investment plan which will see recruitment of more pharmacy technical staff to enhance the patient experience.

We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the mental health team delivering and developing pharmacy services to the Royal Edinburgh and Associated Services Division as Pharmacy Technician working between Dispensary and Distribution. The Royal Edinburgh Hospital and Associated Services (REAS) provides acute psychiatric and mental health services, which also includes the treatment of individuals with learning disabilities, dementia and the management of young peoples mental health.

Successful candidates will have an enthusiasm for learning and development, a professional attitude and a passion for working in healthcare. As well as a drive for personal development, candidates should demonstrate personal values aligned with those of our organisation: NHS Lothian Values. The successful candidate will possess a NC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, a SVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. The department actively supports further development of the successful candidate.

This post will support evening and weekend working and public holidays cover, when required.
