Hours: 25-30 hrs
An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our established and forward thinking team. Tayview Medical Practice is a busy, friendly practice with a patient population of around 10,000 patients. Our main site is based in Newport-on-Tay in a large modern purpose built premise with a smaller branch site located in Tayport. We are committed to multi- disciplinary team working and at present our clinical team comprises of seven GP Partners, two practice nurses and two health care assistants. We are fortunate to have a District Nursing team and Health Visitors located onsite, as well as visiting NHS Pharmacists and Podiatry, all of whom are supported by an excellent administration team. The ideal candidate will be friendly and motivated with excellent communication skills. The role involves the management of a wide variety of illnesses, autonomous working in patient assessment and prescribing, providing advanced levels of nursing practice and clinical decision making. Experience in the management of urgent care presentations including onward referral for investigations or admission would be advantageous along with a degree of expertise in telephone triage.
