This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving Neuropsychology Department in the Historic City of York.

Full Time, Fixed Term 12 Months 

The role involves undertaking clinical work, which will include administrating and scoring a range of neuropsychological tests with patients presenting with various neurological disorders; behavioural observations of adults with neurological difficulties; provide research assistance for the neurocognitive assessment of participants enrolled in clinical trials; data collection and analysis; and assistance with writing papers and research proposals.

This will include the use of a database (Excel); advanced systematic literature searches and retrieval; data collection, entry and analysis and liaison with a variety of professions. The appointee will be supervised by a clinical psychologist.

    Academic Requirements

    Essential criteria

  • An upper second-class honours degree or higher in Psychology
  • Desirable criteria

  • Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, neuropsychology and/or research design and analysis.
  • Practical skills

    Essential criteria

  • High level of communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience using computers for creation and management of databases or data-analysis, especially Excel and SPSS for Windows
  • Employer certification / accreditation badges
