Are you an experienced trainer, with a flair for presenting complex information and bringing learning content to life for a range of audiences?

The University’s Finance Division training team is seeking someone who is, or can rapidly become, an expert in using the University’s wide range of financial systems, in order to train others across a varied spectrum of disciplines.

But you’ll go beyond traditional face-to-face training, as the role has a significant focus on using digital technologies. Whether creating eLearning courses yourself, or writing specifications for others, you’ll have your finger firmly on the pulse of emerging technological training methods.The University is currently implementing an ambitious Finance Transformation Programme and you will play a key role in supporting colleagues both on existing systems and on the adoption of new systems and improved ways of working.

The Role

You will:

  • Identify learning needs and create/deliver training solutions to develop users’ knowledge and skills with new systems.
  • Provide pedagogic advice, guidance, encouragement and support on the use of technology to other staff involved in training.
  • Develop technical content, exercises, and assessments using a mix of media, to be hosted or delivered across varied platforms such as Moodle, Teams, websites, SharePoint etc.
  • Author learning reports, metrics, and statistics.
  • Create and maintain detailed training and quick reference guides for University systems and processes to ensure staff follow established processes.
  • Your skills

    You will be experienced in developing and delivering training for large organisational finance systems, be able to create digital learning resources and have excellent communication, organisational and Microsoft Office skills.

    You will also help identify opportunities for the further use of learning technologies, and assess their benefits and constraints. Therefore advanced knowledge of educational and web technologies is essential.

    The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of A-Level standard with both training and accountancy qualifications (e.g. AAT or above) or have comparable experience.

  • Location

    This role will be based in Greenwich House, however the Finance Division is currently trailing a hybrid working, which involves working two days per week from the office. This arrangement is currently temporary and subject to review.

    Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
