An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated CNS to join our dynamic and friendly advanced prostate cancer specialist nursing team based at Guys Hospital at London Bridge. 

We are looking for someone with experience in a specialist nursing role with this patient group, who has an interest in developing their CNS skills or extending their current portfolio of skills and abilities You need to be able to prioritise your workload and assist us in meeting NHS Cancer waiting time and network targets whilst keeping patient experience at the heart of the cancer journey.

Main duties of the job

The prostate Cancer CNS is responsible for the specialist nursing care of patients with advanced prostate cancer. 

The successful candidate will have experience in supporting patients a diagnosis and living with advanced prostate cancer. They will lead on holistic needs assessments and all aspects of personalised care for this patient group. The team run a variety of nurse led services including information sessions, support groups and nurse led follow up after treatment
