Main duties of the job

During the period of training for trainee AN/CP the post holder will work as a Band 7 under supervision for the first 3 years prior to the successful completion of full MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and their relevant Advanced Clinical Practice academic pathway (e.g.RCCP/RCEM ) also within the agreed timeframe of 3 years.

The post holder will have a focus of self-development within the whole EQ Emergency Department, Emergency Assessment areas and relevant speciality areas through a rotational development plan thus developing their specified role and fulfilling their 4 pillars of advanced practice.

The post will involve developing and working across the Same Day Emergency (SDEC) Unit, Emergency Department and Acute Admissions Units. The TACP will utilise and develop their skills in clinical examination, assessment and planning care for patients presenting with acute medical conditions. They will also work alongside other professionals, multidisciplinary groups, patients and their careers to develop their knowledge and skills and ensure comprehensive assessment and high-quality care. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
