Duties and Responsibilities:

The Role:

As a Lifestyle Development and Production Manager you will have significant experience of Multi-Product development at a similar luxury level. The Lifestyle Development and Production Manager will be responsible for sourcing and developing a wide range of product from gifts and games, through to home, garden and excursion wares. You will work closely with the Lifestyle Designer and across a broad platform of suppliers. You will manage the product through development and into production, including building a deliverable critical path, negotiating FOB pricing and working on delivery schedules. You will advise on all the technical development of all prototypes and be instrumental in driving the range in terms of innovative developments and partnerships, ensuring they meet the design and quality requirements. Duties & Responsibilities:· Source factories in line with product development requirements.· Work closely with Design/Product Merchandising to develop the critical path in line with seasonal product requirement. · Ensure timely delivery of prototypes and trials in line with the critical path, through to delivery to market.· Attend prototype meetings, range reviews, quality and pricing meetings as required.· Provide technical feedback during development meetings with the Design team. · Manage development budget seasonally.· Ensure quality is developed into the product, risk assessing the products as they are developed.· Manage Bill of Material (BOM) information in the systems.· Advise Suppliers/Design on how product can be engineered to meet relevant cost requirements, and work closely with Product Management and Suppliers, to ensure the target prices are met.· Work closely with the Raw Materials Manager and team on new leather to ensure a red thread between lifestyle and the wider range.· Request and sign off sealed samples for all lifestyle goods, for quality and design aesthetics.· Place production orders and manage OTIF deliveries. · Manage wear tests on products to ensure they perform to Mulberry strict quality standards, alongside the Quality department.· Place orders for bulk production, and follow the manufacture and deliveries of all product.· Managing packaging requirement for varied product with the sourcing department.Work on the Prima System to:· Raise SMS product POs and GRNing.· Raise Production POs and GRNing.· Raise Sampling Component POs and GRNing.· Raise Bulk Components Pos and GRNing (including labelling). · Create all Raw Material with Fabric Codes.· Create BOMS.· Update seasonal Standard Costs.· Send Suppliers Production Barcodes.· In Transit GRNs for production to MEDC.· Stock Take production materials and sampling materials- reporting to Finance.· Manage stock- manually adjust stock, transfer stock and writing off stock.· Order Care Labels for production.Brand:· Understand and demonstrate the Mulberry employee values and behaviours: Be Bold, Be Imaginative, Be Open, Be Responsible.· Support Mulberry to deliver an inclusive culture, through behaving in a way that is open-minded and respectful towards others, and understanding that your views, opinions and experiences may not always be shared by your colleagues.Skills & Experience Required:· Significant experience in product and technical development in the leather accessories industry.· Experience in luxury goods, leather and multi product development.· Knowledge of both domestic and global manufacturing.· Confident in liaising with key stakeholders particularly internal departments and suppliers.· Proven ability in producing accurate work with attention to detail. · Is proactive in the approach to work and can successfully manage own priorities and workload.· Enjoys working independently and as part of a wider team. Other:· Regular overseas and domestic travel between London and Somerset travel required.
