Events Manager- London- 12 Months- £-£ PAYE

A global technology company are looking for an experienced Events Manager to join their team on an initial 10 month assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall planning and execution of events, including trade shows, in person events, virtual events and webinars
  • Working closely with third-party suppliers to negotiate contracts, fulfil our sponsorship and ensure we exhibit as best in class when attending trade shows. Deal with incoming enquiries for events and correspond with exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, agencies and contractors
  • On site event management, including managing exhibitor and sponsor queries/issues, overseeing the registration area, leasing with the production team and briefing event staff
  • Helping to deliver our webinar programme aimed at producing effective educational content. Specific responsibilities include: managing all webinar logistics, liaising with speakers, content planning, producing effective recruitment plans and using our webinar platform to run the event.
  • Working cross functionally with wider teams across the business including; marketing, sales, customer success and design. Ensure that all events align with business priorities, objectives and key messages.
  • Creating effective event marketing plans and assisting with the creative developments of event initiatives from branding, agenda design and content creation.
  • Managing event administration including budget planning, forecasting and post-event analysis.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to ensure an effective follow-up process is in place for leads post-event and working closely with the data analytics team to keep track of conversion.
  • Sharing/presenting upcoming events and post-event results with wider business during our company wide meetings.
  • Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working to a high standard within an events or hospitality setting.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • The ability to interact with internal and external clients, including managing our external agencies.
  • Fantastic attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Experience in managing budgets effectively.
  • Experience in effectively marketing events across organic social, paid social, web and email comms.
  • Experience in creating educational content and agenda planning.
  • A proactive approach – being able to ‘think on your feet’ and take ownership of issues that may rise.
  • Ability to make quick and effective decisions
  • A desire to create memorable experiences for our customers.
  • Ability to work closely with different levels of management across the business including senior management/directors.
  • General administration skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience working collaboratively to deliver results
