We are currently recruiting a Management Accountant for a Financial Services Company in Wilmslow.   Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the monthly management accounts including P&L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet.

Working 37 hours per week, this role offers flexible working options (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)

As for the Management Accountant, your day to day duties will be varied but will include:

  • Timely preparation and production of accurate management accounts for Acquired adhering to strict monthly deadlines (including P&L, B/S, Cashflow).
  • To work closely with the Acquired Business Partner to develop an understanding of the business and use the knowledge in the preparation of management accounts and reporting.
  • Assist the Acquired Business Partner with the merchant invoicing process, and production of management KPI pack.
  • Analysis and commentary on financial matters both on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • To co-ordinate and produce various PDF management packs required throughout the Group.
  • Involved in the production of year end Statutory Accounts and audit.
  • Involvement in completing and compiling VAT returns.
  • Responsible for the management and maintenance of well-maintained and supported ledgers.
  • Involved in the day-to-day transactional processing to cover both sales and purchase ledger and credit control, banking and nominal ledger maintenance covering Acquired and other group entities.

Essential Skills:

  • Either part qualified and fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Have relevant experience in an SME environment
  • Experience and confidence using Microsoft packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Team player with the willingness to be involved in all tasks
