This postprovides an excellent opportunity to work alongside Occupational Therapists inthe community in addressing the moving and handling needs of citizens. This isan exciting opportunity to help to shape the future of our IntegratedPrevention Service and work closely with Health Services to develop integratedpathways.
You will beworking with all of the care providers, contracts team, health colleagues andinformal carers, including family members. You will receive support andsupervision from Occupational Therapists who will carry out all initial movingand handling assessments. You will be expected to carry out follow up visitsand provide demonstrations and support with moving and handling techniques ifso required.
Additionaltraining will be provided to equip you for the role such as People Handling andRisk Assessments. Additional training around single handed care will also beprovided.
