An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team. Situated in Ealing Broadway/South Ealing an easy commute on transport links either on buses and trains.

Job Description

Based in Ealing, you will be working at the university of west London on a scheduled basis. You will receive uniforms, meals on shift, and free onsite parking as part of your package. As a Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen area is always clean, well presented, and well-stocked. In addition, you will support the chef(s) on site, making sure the kitchen environment is to high standards with ad hoc duties in simple food prep from time to time. Finally, along with colleagues, you will ensure COSHH, food safety, and H&S are followed, with any incidents reported in line with documented procedures. You will also be ready to help with any ad-hoc duties to support the catering team and services.

  Working Pattern : 5 days out of 7 Skills and Experience

The essential skills and experience we require for the position of Kitchen Porter include:

– Pride in quality customer service

– Willingness to cooperate as part of a team

– Previous catering experience is desirable

– Making sandwiches and fruit pots daily

Benefits

We are offering a salary of up to £22,000 per annum and a wide selection of health, wellbeing, and lifestyle benefits. There’s a workplace pension and 28 days holiday (pro rata, incl. bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days annual leave.
