About the role
The Project Manager Business Change position sits in the Change Programme function of our Project Office and provides active and dedicated project management leadership to all internal change projects. This position acts as a subject matter expert, partnering with the Programme Manager and other Project Managers in the team to ensure change is adopted and sustained.

This role represents a huge opportunity to contribute to Ocado’s success and to help shape broader changes as we progress through our change programme. It is accountable for developing a project management framework and actionable project management plans across our internal projects; developing project schedules, developing risk/issue logs, project organisation breakdown structures, work packages and work breakdown structures, stakeholder mapping and project monitoring and tracking across our programme of work, ensuring that all information related to the project is consistent, accurate and timely.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for;

  • Translating strategic Change Programme needs into actionable change projects for delivery across Platform Implementation
  • Developing and maintaining best in class project documentation
  • Managing and influencing a large number of senior internal and external stakeholders towards a common vision or goal
  • Managing and reporting risks, issues and change in a timely manner, creating mitigation plans and taking action to reduce risk or take advantage of the opportunity
  • Managing project scope, quality, schedule, costs and resources ensuring the project meets or exceeds business objectives
  • Problem-solving, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues
  • Reporting project status with transparency
  • Adhering to Change Programme and PMO project governance principles

About you
You will need experience in…

  • Extensive project management across a range of high profile, strategic projects and programmes
  • Hands-on end-to-end project lifecycle experience with experience in creation, monitoring and updating all project artefacts
  • Process improvement, seeking ways to improve templates and tools to ensure they remain relevant, effective and efficient to meet changing business standards and objectives
  • Change management such as communication, training, deployment and support engagements
  • Crafting and delivering engaging and effective communications and presentations to leadership
  • Excellent organisation skills including planning and prioritising workload, attention to detail, and results focus, ensuring all given deadlines are met
  • Creating and using project management tools such as MS Project, Google Suite, Microsoft Products, operational impact plans, test plans, risk management plans, communication plans, deployment plans, and any other related project or change management best practises
