My client has an immediate vacancy in their Leicester office for a civil engineering graduate to work within their experienced civil engineering design team.

Responsibilities
 
·The Civil Engineering Graduate Vacancy role will involve being able to operate with guidance in the production of basic design solutions when provided with constraints.
·The role will also involve being able to operate, autonomously with minimal guidance in relation to design updates, drafting and detailing.
·The successful candidate will undertake and respond to project based queries by telephone or other means and feedback to others in the team.
·A logical analytical approach to problem solving should be demonstrated.
·The team design and draft SuDS schemes, private externals works, Section 38 and Section works for adoption.
·The role will include being involved with the design and drafting of civil engineering works for a variety of sectors.
·Designs range from multi-storey structures to small housing schemes and range in construction value from £, to £30M.
·Many projects are undertaken to BIM level 2.
·The team works for clients throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom.
·They design SuDS drainage schemes and highway works using Microdrainage and PDS industry standard software with final drawings produced in AutoCAD.
 
Experience
 
·Specific experience in the use of AutoCAD for technical drawing will ideally be demonstrated at interview.
 
·The successful candidate will be given on the job guidance to achieve their individually led development and they will work closely with the other members of the civil engineering team.
·They operate an ICE registered graduate training scheme which will be open to the successful candidate.
·The successful candidate will be an able communicator, both in written English and verbally, in person and on the telephone.
·Knowledge of the construction industry and basic health and safety is essential.
 
Education
 
The role would suit a BSc/BEng/MEng (Hons) qualified civil engineering graduate who ideally has some relevant experience within the industry.
