Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an organisation within the education sector in Bradford. After an internal promotion, the team is looking for its newest member. This role could offer flexibility for someone needing part time hours and could be flexed around school hours.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, key duties of the Purchase Ledger Clerk will include:

  • Responding to supplier queries
  • Review and post relevant transactions and reconcile payments between entities
  • Reconcile transactions with third party payment providers
  • Become familiar with the finance systems used by the organisation, running reports
  • Ensure all customer and supplier queries are being dealt with and add assistance where needed
  • Complete supplier payment requests for UK entities
  • Raising PO’s, posting invoices in finance system
  • Managing the finance inbox

To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Previous experience of working within a finance function
  • Keen and willing to work in a purchase ledger role
  • Strong excel skills
  • Confident communicator
  • Detail orientated
  • Previous use of SAGE would be advantageous but not essential.
