Main duties of the job

Provide an accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Local Authority, Third Sector, CAIS) in order to: Provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers

The role will involve working closely with administrative, nursing and medical colleagues to providing a comprehensive admin support service. The post holder will be required to process incoming referrals, minute taking, undertake typing of clinical letters and other annotation and medical records handling, filing, deal with telephone enquiries and other administrative tasks.

You will have good attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good standard of general education (GCSE Maths and English at grade C) and above or equivalent or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience or willing towards
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • L2 RSA/OCR or equivalent
  • Desirable criteria

  • IT related qualification (CLAIT plus or ECDL)
  • NVQ Customer Service L2
  • L2 Medical terminology
