This company is seeking an Asset manager for a 12 month fixed term contract, in this time they will give either an aspiring or experienced asset manager exposure to a successful portfolio and the ability to leave this role with the understanding of what is required to ensure a fund/portfolio successfully performs. The role.

  • To attend fund meetings and assist in the preparation of strategies, updates and schedules for the report.
  • Assist in the property development and refurbishment process. This will include inspecting and measuring properties, analysing development options with architects and our internal projects team, undertaking cashflow and development appraisal analysis and report writing to propose strategies to the executive team.
  • Oversee external block management companies who are instructed to manage the portfolio long leasehold flats and buildings. To help resolve service charge disputes and to attend quarterly meetings, ensuring the block managers are performing their duties professionally and efficiently.
  • Effectively manage all property management functions within an allotted portfolio such as inspections, lease administration and reviews, landlord and tenant enquiries and disputes and arrears collection.
  • Who are they looking for?

  • An attentive, forward-thinking individual with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • In depth knowledge of different residential leases including ASTs and long leases and the covenants included.
  • Residential property management experience either client or agency side
  • A goods understanding of residential property legislation. This includes S.20 for service charge works, S.11 for a landlord’s repairing obligations and the Housing Act for managing breaches in ASTs, such as S.21 and 8
  • Ideally RICS, ARLA or IRPM qualified
  • Competent with Microsoft excel, it’s data and the analytical functions.
