About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Manager to join our team to work in Coleshill, Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for leading the BBV Quality Assurance from a configuration management perspective of maintaining the management plans, associated management processes and production of the configuration status reports.

What you’ll be doing

  • Implement a configuration management system in line with all other information requirements.
  • Ensure BBVs design and construction teams manage and fulfil technical and contractual requirements, including environmental minimum requirements in the aspects of configuration management.
  • Work in accordance with the BBV Design Management Plan, BBV Quality
  • Assurance Management Plan and BBV Information Management Plan.
  • Training of Associated Teams to the processes related to configuration management
  • Monitor, support and audit and improve the application of the design configuration management processes. A
  • Oversee the performance of the BBV Design and Engineering team configuration management progress and output qualities.
  • Work as a team with BBVs quality assurance and certification and information management teams
  • Coordinate on an active basis with other BBV departments including construction as well as BBVs supply chain.
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Configuration Management experience, liaise with stakeholders. Ideally in infrastructure projects
  • Solid understanding of configuration management standards (ISO10007:2017 and/or other well-known standards) and major activities within the configuration management lifecycle
  • Understanding of the construction environment for safe and timely buildable designs
  • Highly organised with good management and coordination skills
