The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Support Officer to work within the framework of Action for Children’s policies and procedures providing a confidential, flexible, efficient and responsive support service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing support to teams in implementing nursery software and to ensure data is up to date and accurate. Providing training where necessary.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of operating frameworks, systems and protocols on behalf of the team, this may include the monitoring and recording of Health & Safety information, financial data, performance indicators.
  • Providing checks on digital information to ensure nursery information is accurate and relevant and maintains the brand image.
  • Coordinate Local authority funding income working closely with Finance colleagues to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Lead on FAMLY in terms of checking accuracy of data and plans. To support Business Manager in software development planning.

What we need from you:

Our successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and pro-active mindset with a positive attitude. Our Job Description outlines the requirements of the role, but the ‘must haves’ are:

  • A Business Administration NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or work experience
  • A Proven track record in the use of IT packages to produce presentations and statistical data for the Department,
  • Experience of using PC’s on a business network running MS Windows and Office, along with Email and Internet and specific business applications i.e. finance.
  • Effective communication written and oral to a range of different personnel.
  • Proven knowledge of finance systems and basic accounting.
