Assistive Learning Technologies Specialist

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

£20,318 – £20,906

Responsible to the Learning Technologies Lead You will work as part of a small learning technology team based in The Exchange learning resource centre, supporting a wide range of students and staff with the development of digital skills. You will have specific responsibility for the provision of specialist assistive technology requirements for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including, technical maintenance and deployment of equipment. You will also work within your team to offer training, group and one-to-one support activities with students and staff to enable engagement with teaching, learning and assessment which results in positive academic achievement. This is a specialist technical role, to promote inclusive education and support for students with additional support needs. 

With a relevant computer hardware/software qualification you will be competent in the effective use of a range of ICT and audio visual aids, Installation of software and trouble shooting and have experience of training others in the use of ICT.You must be able to organise priority tasks and meet tight deadlines maintaining your own daily responsibilities and work effectively as part of a team.
