Primary Teacher – KS2 – Wigan

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a long-term, full-time Class Teacher role on behalf of a Large Primary School in Pemberton, Wigan. The school are keen to recruit a knowledgeable key stage 2 teacher for this maternity role commencing in June 2022 until the end of the academic year 22-23.

Due to disruption to learning from Covid, the school require a Primary Teacher to deliver engaging and diverse lessons to pupils to encourage both academic and personal development. Particularly with any disengaged children that may need a little more support from you. This is most important for children in KS2 with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) Needs. Therefore, experience of this would be desirable.

As one of the KS2 teachers you will be required plan, teach and assess a curriculum that promotes children’s love for learning whilst ensuring there is an environment founded on mutual respect. You will also be responsible for:

  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on the pupil’s attainment and personal development
  • Build strong working relationships with your partner teacher and other class teachers
  • Establishing positive and supportive relationships with parents and carers
  • Encouraging pupils to express their opinions, thoughts and feelings
  • Set high expectations for pupil behaviour.
  • Provide a caring and supportive learning environment based on mutual respect.
