Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join our small but well established team to manage a range of contracts with Healthcare Providers both in the Community and in our hospitals.

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible individual, with strong communication skills, with experience of working with providers of externally commissioned services, preferably within the NHS.

The ability to work at a fast pace and ever changing environment is essential, along with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work and develop effective relationships with colleagues across a range of professional boundaries, including clinicians and partner organisations is essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria

  • Degree, or equivalent professional or management qualification or proven equivalent experience.

    Essential criteria

  • Extensive experience of working with the External Provider market.
  • Experience of operating in formal partnership environments e.g. Local Authority / Trade Associations
  • Proven experience of implementing service change in a complex environment, managing conflict appropriately.
  • Proven experience in clinical engagement to deliver service improvement
  • Experience of effective engagement and negotiation with a range of individuals and organisation.

  • Advance knowledge of External healthcare provider services and contracting issues.
  • Good understanding of the WAG policy on working with the External provider market and the ability to develop service solutions to deliver this agenda.
