This is an opportunity for a experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to work in a busy department which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Tayside and North-East Fife and South Grampian

The Blood Sciences Department is based on two sites at Ninewells Hospital, a large Teaching hospital and Medical School, Dundee and Perth Royal Infirmary, Perth.

You will be working in a refurbished state of the art multidisciplinary laboratory with Siemens ADVIA 2120i FBC analysers, ACL TOPS Coagulation analysers, Siemens Atellica Solution and BioRad Blood Transfusion analysers.

Post qualification professional development is encouraged and supported. On attaining appropriate competences you will join the roster for the Out of Hours sessions which will include weekend, evening, overnight and public holiday duties.

You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and have completed, or working towards, the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Haematology, Blood Transfusion or Biochemistry, BBTS Specialist certificate or provide evidence of equivalent prior experience.

Hours of work are: 37.5hrs per week
