We are looking for estate caretaker drivers to work locally within the areas of Harold Wood, Hornchurch, Harold Hill, Collier Row, Romford, Rainham etc.

To contribute to the quality of the environment by maintaining the estate and all communal (internal and external) areas to a high cleaning standard.

To maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents and members of the public.

To clean housing offices as required.

Undertake minor maintenance and repairs on the estates, including undertaking initial inspection and routine repair works.

working 36 hours per week

Supplied with a council vehicle

B driving licence required

  • You must physically able to lift/move bulky items and work in all weather conditions

  • Previous experience of physical/manual or environmental type work

  • Be literate and numerate

  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised for long periods

  • You may be required to work out of normal office hours on occasions including evenings.

  • Caretakers will need to be flexible to work at any location for the needs of the service and as directed by the Estates Officer.

    • You will need a full manual driving licence and be able to drive a Council vehicle
