Short Description

Capgemini Engineering are looking for a Project Manager with Rail experience to join our team on a permanent basis in the Derby area. Hybrid working is available for this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build & lead the people within your assigned teams to deliver outstanding success and value for our clients.
  • Deploy project management principles to control and monitor delivery of your assigned projects to agreed baselines.
  • Work collaboratively with Clients in negotiating and establishing scope, project parameters and controls including pricing, phasing, risks, dependencies and deliverables setting realistic expectations and ensuring commercial viability.
  • Form trusted and transparent relationships with our clients and their other suppliers
  • Leading multi-functional teams in dispersed and complex environments.
  • Deliver assigned projects to agreed baselines.
  • Promote the discipline and profession of project and service management
  • Contributes to Methods and Best Practices design and roll-out
  • Constructively challenges the status quo, a way of working or a requirement to improve our delivery approach and overall value
  • Coaches & provides guidance to direct reports, colleagues and peers related to the project activity
  • Actively contribute to the Capgemini Engagement Manager community
  • Qualifications

  • You will be an ambitious, highly motivated, self-starter who has a critical understanding of project delivery, operational business processes, procedures and challenges with a proven record of accomplishment in successfully delivering time critical complex projects. You will have project management experience.
  • You will have developed an established track record for resolving complex problems, managing risk, maintaining effective control of complex projects, manipulating and presenting data in a simple form to support business investment and priority decisions and delivering on time. Your ability to provide accurate and timely business KPIs will be a given.
  • You will be comfortable working across the business and across transnational cultures, establishing diverse relationships for the supply of internal and external services in the capacity of both customer and supplier.
  • You will have strong problem solving and analytical skills, be a good communicator (written and verbal); have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with others.
  • You will be able to deal with complexity and manage the concurrent demands of a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience within the rail sector useful.
