What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Solid knowledge of Kotlin as well as RxJava / Reactive programming
  • Strong record of developing customer-facing Android apps
  • A good grasp of memory management, optimisation and widgets as well as multithreading and REST API integrations
  • A passion for the mobile development domain, ideally via personal projects or keeping up to date with the latest Android trends and offerings out there
  • Ability to learn as you go and pick up new skills / technologies along the way while encouraging others to do so too
  • Ideally exposure to Android Debug Bridge ( ADB ), Gradle, Git, Test-Driven Development and testing suites

Snapshot of the duties involved:

  • Acting as a leading figure and offering proactive technical leadership to a growing team
  • Working in a multidisciplinary function including design and product specialists to improve mobile offerings for a global customer base of around 10 million users and ensuring a 5 star digital experience
  • Working with other senior individuals to shape best practice working and improve the function
  • Remaining technically hands-on and using your knowledge to guide others
  • Recruiting new talent into the team as well as mentoring and motivating existing members
  • Encouraging and championing new ideas from the team
