Our client, a well-established and respected IT Support business, is looking for a highly motivated 3rd Line Engineer to join their team on a full time permanent basis. You might be an experienced 3rd Line Engineer in need of a fresh challenge/environment or a 2nd Line Engineer who is ready to take the next step in your career, either way we want to hear from you! As a member of the wider technical support team, you will work closely with the IT manager to deliver projects on time and within budget. In addition to this, you will serve as an escalation point for 1st & 2nd Line Engineers providing support for Microsoft desktop and server products, Office 365, TCP/IP, WAN/LAN setup activities, cyber security products, etc. On offer is a competitive salary and:

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an escalation point for 1st & 2nd line engineers and provide senior technical support to clients.
  • Collaborate with project managers and successfully deliver infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
  • Arrange site visits with clients to evaluate business needs and create IT solutions that exceed customer expectations and requirements.
  • Maintain internal IT network and eleminate all risks from the infrastructure
  • Maintain an efficient ticketing system, resolving all customer queries within the allocated time frame.
  • Successfully manage your workload and schedule small works within the agreed timeframes.
  • Provide ongoing support and specific product training to 1st & 2nd Line Engineers.
  • Provide pre-sales support and deliver proactive maintenance to existing customers.
  • Contribute to the effective and efficient task allocation/scheduling, ensuring all work is recorded on completion of each task.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in an IT support environment, covering various technical areas.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of networking operating systems, backup configuration and maintenance, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft environments.
  • Comfortable delivering daily system checks on servers, backups, and firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of  Office 2003/2010/2013/2016/365
  • Working knowledge of Exchange server  2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/365
  • Working knowledge of windows 7/8/10
  • Your excellent communication skills will compliment your meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills.
