Loriens leading banking client are on the look out for a Infrastructure Solution Architect to join their team on an initial 12 month contract and on a WFH basis.
We’ll look to you to develop, implement, and help users with Infrastructure Solutions , and Patterns for our customer requirements
In order to achieve a first-class customer experience, you will ensure our solutions are engineered to comply with security, availability, resilience, performance, and capacity requirements using modern cloud consumption and SaaS practices
You’ll work across engineering teams and specialise in modern consumption practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and continuous delivery
What you’ll do
As an Infrastructure Solutions Architect you will be contributing to and managing the selection, creation and
maintenance of infrastructure technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, ensuring
alignment to the Risk and Finance Domain Technology Road and strategic targets and architecture outcomes.
You’ll also be:
Making sure the required work in the platform backlog contains detailed acceptance criteria, which ensures that operations support or warranty period is clear and accountable once a system migration is complete
Apply Solutions with the user in mind, and assisting the users in how to consume our products through Toolchains
Responsible for the most complex and risk exposed technical infrastructures
Producing and providing Solution designs for Domain infrastructure components and co-ordinating the delivery across the domain.
Providing build and Implementation support to other infrastructure teams and co-ordinating pipeline CtB deliveries for the Risk and Finance domain.
Building and leveraging relationships with colleagues across bank to make sure decisions made are commercially focused and create long term value for the organisation
The skills you’ll need
To succeed in this role, youll need the ability to understand how your area of expertise supports Customers demand, Understand the Domain Strategy and Roadmap. Help decide and Influence and lead the Infrastructure solutions designs, Implementation and co-ordination across the Domain and Technology.
You will need a clear understanding of infrastructure layers or stack, cloud based and SaaS solutions designs and a broad knowledge across multiple platforms such as server, operating system, virtualisation, database, middleware or network.
Along with experience of contributing to roadmaps and strategies and working closely with third parties on assurance of their output and managing their performance, you’ll need the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and management level colleagues, with good collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
You’ll also demonstrate:
Strong Knowledge of the banks Risk and Finance Technology stacks.
An advanced understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and cloud technologies
The drive to make our products and services as frictionless as realistically possible using modern DevOps skills and knowledge
Experience and proficiency in large Saas and Cloud Solution design
Experience and proficiency in Security implementation best practices for Operating System Solutions
A strong focus on personal development while working with colleagues across the bank, allowing you to expand your network and gain exposure for you and your work
Good knowledge of Virtualisation technologies
A good understanding of Agile methodologies paired with working knowledge of the Agile toolsets and experience of working in an Agile team
A background of working in a complex, multi disciplined matrix team
