We have an exciting, new opportunity within the Careers Service to support the Careers Data Analyst in providing insights and performance monitoring to the Careers Service at Manchester Met. We are looking for an excellent communicator, who can disseminate complex information appropriate to their audience, and can negotiate, and influence people at all levels.

About the Role:  

This is a new role in a growing data team in the Careers Service. This will be an incredibly interesting and varied role where you will ultimately support the service to help students to realise their potential and achieve their career goals.

You will contribute to institutional aims to improve graduate prospects through the delivery of effective data analysis and reporting on the career readiness of students and employment of graduates to inform future planning.

You will be responsible for writing and analysing management information, data and reports to identify trends and inform decision making. You will also support colleagues within the faculties and careers service with data reporting requirements and support the development of data competence within our teams through guidance and development of resources.

About You:  

  • Experience of using data management systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) to a high standard including constructing complex multi-layered spreadsheets. 
  • The ability to balance competing demands and manage expectations in a professional manner. 
  • Experience in developing and operating successful information analysis operations in large service. 
  • Skilled in statistical analysis, including analysing complex data sets to provide conclusions and solutions. 
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. 
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating attention to detail with a track record of numerical accuracy.
  • You will need to be comfortable dealing with a fast paced, varied workload whilst maintaining the highest standards and customer service.
