Sales Ledger Assistant

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 08.45-17.00, Fridays 08.45-16.00 (40 hrs p/w)

Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum (FTE)

About the Role

Our Client is looking to recruit a Sales Ledger Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Receivable department through efficient and accurate processing of data such as maintaining customer records and receipts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and continually updating customer account records through validation of data supplied and in line with SLA’s.
  • Daily management of the paying in process including posting sales receipts and application of the settlement discount policy.
  • Raising non-stock invoices accurately ensuring legislative Invoice requirements are adhered to and utilising the correct nominal coding.
  • Assist with customer delivery disputes to ensure discrepancies are addressed and resolved quickly.
  • Aid in the management and reconciliation of web-sale customers.

Functional and/or Technical Skills 

  • Excellent administrative and communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • High-level of organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage conflicting and competing demands effectively
  • Intermediate / advanced level in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of Visual 2000 accounting system beneficial
