Employability Consultant – Digital Careers

We are looking for a forward thinking, passionate and innovative individual to join our exceptional Careers team.  This role offers the opportunity to lead a new digital stream of our careers programme to enable our students and alumni to access digital careers, with the capacity to put your own stamp on the role.

You will have a direct impact on the support that our students and alumni receive, running engaging workshops and events and collaborating with external partners to deliver valuable initiatives that enhance their futures.

You will work collaboratively internally and externally to deliver exceptional events. Our current successful careers provision includes employer-led career insight events, our highly-respected career coaching programme, alumni-run mock interviews/CV clinics and specialist Ability careers events for disabled students.

You will use your knowledge of digital careers to enhance our existing provision, creating innovative events that enable students to succeed in digital careers. Working collaboratively, you will embed this new digital stream into curriculum, ensuring it is inclusive and accessible to our diverse student body. 

Using exceptional organisational and people skills, you will coordinate the delivery of digital skills training to upskill students on the programme. Building successful partnerships with businesses in the digital space is an exciting part of this role, where you will develop productive, multi-faceted relationships with digital employers, encouraging them to share expertise, run insight events, host micro-placements and recruit our students. 

You will have a creative approach to engage students, attracting them through appealing marketing strategies. Your natural ability to develop successful relationships with others will ensure we work effectively with other departments as well as partnering with external stakeholders.

You will have experience in budget management, maximising resources and finding innovative ways to deliver a high-quality service with limited resources. You will be confident in delivering presentations with engaging content to all audiences, bringing your experience in different industries and sectors to offer new ideas that enhances our overall service. You will be comfortable working independently while playing a pivotal part in a small, fast-paced and ambitious team.

Remuneration:

Grade 7 of the College’s London Pay Scale which is £39,173 rising to £ 44,775 per annum.

The salary quoted will be pro-rata for this part time post and is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
