Overview
Pertemps Recruitment on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council has an exciting opportunity for an Information Officer to join the Business Intelligence & Insight team (Education) in their Aylesbury office (HP20 area). Working alongside the team you will play an important role in providing analysis to support school place planning, providing contextual data on schools, and supporting with statutory returns

About the role
A key function as an Information Officer is to update and develop various analytical models which provide forecasts of future pupil numbers. This role often involves using Microsoft Excel to manipulate large volumes of data to provide useful summaries and models, and working with customers to identify their issues and producing analysis and information that will support their decision making.

This is a temporary position for 12 months, though there is potential for this to be extended further. The pay rate is £18.00 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 per week. Buckinghamshire Council are currently working on a hybrid basis where you will work in the office 2+ days per week and remotely for the rest of the week.

The Aylesbury office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP20 area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40

About you
We’re keen to recruit someone with excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
You need to be confident in using Excel formulae (vlookup, if, or, countif, sumif, etc.), using basic macros and handling large amounts of data
You must have good attention to detail and be able to work with customers to identify their needs and develop analysis to support them.
Experience in using GIS (Mapinfo, ArcGIS, QGIS etc.) would be an advantage but not essential
