Invoicing Improvement Lead Job Vacancy in Manchester, England, UK

We are currently looking to recruit an Invoicing Improvement lead into our Manchester based team to join DWF, an award-winning legal business
You will act as a technical expert across the Invoicing team and demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of the Invoicing processing and the areas for improvement
Main Duties:
To identify, drive and implement process improvements in the end to end Invoicing processes
Performing root cause analysis on issues to dive deeper than surface issues to work on primary factors leading to the problem e.g. poor on-boarding data, rates issues
Breaks down the problem into components that are easier to solve and easier for the business leader to understand the resolution
Working closely with the Invoicing Specialists so that they understand the issues/feedback from the business and the need for any changes in standard operating procedures or invoicing instructions
Building a strong relationship with the Fee-Earners & PA’s across the business
Re-educating & training the Invoicing Team if changes are required to ways of working, or updates to any Invoicing documents & processes
Working closely with the Change team to identify longer term billing improvements & transformation opportunities
Support the wider Finance Change Portfolio & transformation programme as and when required leading certain Invoicing change deliverables and acting as the Invoicing Subject Matter Expert
Core skills & experience required:
Invoicing experience & the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced dynamic environment
Problem solving mind-set to identify the most critical challenges & develop effective solutions
Encourages new ideas, collaboration and open forums where team members can express their creativity
Demonstrates innovation bringing better, smarter solutions to solve new as well as existing problems
Demonstrates the use of root cause analysis to deep dive on surface issues and work on primary factors leading to problems within the Invoicing team
Customer focused, listening to customer needs, solving the issues that directly affect business outcomes
Very collaborative and leverages expertise and experience across the Invoicing teams
Influencing skills to manage senior stakeholders across the business
Excellent verbal & written communication
Proactive / self-starter with positive can do attitude
Strong inter-personal skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills in order to meet targets and deadlines
