Derby Homes are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Electrical Contracts Manager. The candidate will be expected to have had experience in all aspects of managing the Electrical Service delivery in a social housing environment making sure that all available resource work in a collaborative effective manner.

The role includes monitoring the financial performance of the contracts and making sure that all compliance relating to Electrical Health and Safety is being adhered to.

The successful candidate will also need to liaise with other stakeholders and produce proposals for any bids on other opportunities that may exist with the organisation and also agree targets for the operational teams to improve service delivery standards and efficiency. 

They would also be expected to take on the role of the Electrical Principle duty holder and also review materials and van audit checks that demonstrate legislative compliance within scope of Service Delivery streams with the operational personnel and escalate to the Senior management team as necessary.

They would be required to work with the operational team in planning, implementing and monitoring the standards of all works relating to the PPM schedule and reactive works and work with the operational and support teams to ensure all completion times for planned, corrective and reactive works are correctly logged and recorded within the company’s asset management system.

The candidate would have the experience to ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups and to understand and meet customer requirements, utilising various feedback mechanisms to enhance service delivery.

Finally they would need to develop effective working relationships with operational personnel, tenants, business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors to improve operational performance.
