If you’re looking for a new challenge and want to take on more responsibility, our client has an exciting opportunity for you to join their Lettings team as a Client Accountant where you’ll be working closely with the Head of Accounts.

Our client is an award-winning leading independent agent who specialise in sales, lettings, property and block management. They are a family-owned estate agent that has been specialising in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea for almost 50 years. They provide a complete property service from sales, lettings, management, refurbishment and investments and combine high-level professionalism with easy-going affability, honesty and efficiency.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Client Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the lettings portfolio of properties, dealing with all accounts-related and administrative queries and ensuring a high level of service is delivered to Landlords and Tenants. Your responsibilities will encompass the following:

  • Daily bank reconciliation of client bank accounts to make sure all rents are in and all Landlords and contractors are paid
  • Dealing with incoming queries, both internal and external in a responsive and informed manner
  • Make sure deposits are paid out to the DPS custodial scheme, chase rent arrears and implement RPI increases
  • Ensuring correct fees are collected from Landlords
  • Send out rent reminders and third-party remittance advices
  • Being a team player and assisting the Head of Accounts with additional administrative tasks

What you’ll bring:

The right candidate will have at least 1 year experience working within a lettings business Client Accountant role. They will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and be able to prioritise and plan work effectively.
