Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Accounts Payable Clerk based in Glasgow City Centre. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is to ensure the smooth running of all supplier accounts (including staff expenses) by processing invoices/expenses. Reconciling supplier statements to ensure all invoices are processed and paid on time.

Typical duties and responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Supervisor will include:

  • Processing of all invoices for Europe & USA
  • Generation and processing of both weekly and monthly payment runs (Including Foreign Currency payments) Monthly & weekly Accounts payable reconciliations
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Liaise with suppliers and supply chain buyers to resolve all invoice queries and chase for credit notes where required

To be considered for this position we are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Organisational skills
  • Work to deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Previous purchase ledger experience or experience of working in a finance office

In return the successful Accounts Payable Clerk will receive the following:

  • Salary up to £23-24K
  • 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am-5.30 Mon-Thurs, 9am-4pm Fri)
