Role: Yard Banksman
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Salary starting at £10.50 Per hour
Hours: 7am-15.30pm Monday-Thursday and 7am-14.30pm on Friday
Duration: Temporary (potential to go permanent for the right candidate)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating overhead cranes using remote control to handle steel
- Operating counterbalance fork lift trucks
- Helping to load and unload machines
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Any other duties as and when required
- Experience of steel yard operations an advantage but training will be provided to develop knowledge and skill.
Person Specification
- Previous experience working in a manual job would be beneficial but not essential
- Physically fit and strong
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
- Reliable, trustworthy and a willingness to work
- Crane Driving experience essential
