As a senior manager in the London Audit team you’ll be responsible for a sizeable portfolio of key clients across a range of sectors including: technology, media and telecoms, professional services, real estate, and the consumer sector (retail, food & beverage). The size of clients varies greatly from owner managed businesses and LLP’s through to some well-known listed high street brands.Here are some things you can expect from this commercial audit role.
- High level of audit quality.
- Oversee audit teams; be a key point of contact to clients; assist audit partners in establishing audit approach; review audit work papers and ensure that audit files are completed in a timely manner
- Manage audit teams on specific assignments, with specific line management responsibility for a group of employees to ensure audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives.
- Motivate and coach team members
- The opportunity to take on wider department responsibilities, such as pitching for new work, recruitment or people management.
The Successful Applicant
- The successful candidate is likely to have at least 6-12 months’ experience at the Senior Manager level
- Top 50 audit practice experience is preferred
- Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA)
- Experience of managing a large portfolio of audit clients
- Experience of IFRS and auditing listed companies would be beneficial
