Qualifications Essential criteria Educated to Masters level or equivalent level or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in specialist areaInclusion in the GMC Specialist Register with a licence/ GDC Specialist List/ UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists OR Public health specialist registrar and specialist trainee applicants who are not yet held on the GMC Specialist Register/ GDC Specialist list in dental public health/ UKPHR must provide verifiable signed documentary evidence that they are within 6 months of gaining entry at the date of interview; all other applicants must provide verifiable signed documentary evidence that they have applied for inclusion in the GMC/GDC/UKPHR specialist registers Knowledge and experience Essential criteria Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processesExtensive experience of screening and/ or immunisation in a wide variety of settingsHigh level of understanding of epidemiology and statistics, public health practice, health promotion, health economics and health care evaluation Skills and capabilities Essential criteria High level analytical skills and the ability to draw qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources and present in a clear concise mannerAbility to demonstrate a high level of expertise in providing senior leadershipAbility to work on own initiative and organise workload, allocating work as necessary, working to tight and often changing deadlines, prioritising initiatives
