The Directorate of Endocrinology and Diabetes is seeking to appoint a whole-time (10 PA) Consultant Physician in Endocrinology and GIM. This post is part of an exciting expansion to deliver and develop Endocrine care within Princess Royal University Hospital, and regional specialised services at King’s College Hospital including pituitary, adrenal, thyroid and neuroendocrine tumours through referrals to relevant Multidisciplinary Meetings.

Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Clinical Director.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will be responsible for providing Endocrinology service within the Trust. The role will be primarily out-patient based with some minor ward based components.

The post will involve working with existing members of the Consultant team and wider MDT to provide general and specialist services. The role will include participation in the GIM rota.

The successful candidate must be registered with the GMC with a valid licence to practice. You will also have completed Specialist Training (or equivalent) and be entered on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or have a CCT date within six months of the date of interview.
