DNA Recruit are delighted to be working with a global intercultural consultancy who specialise in everything culture, which in today’s world is constantly evolving, turning cultural differences and insights into opportunities for their client’s customers. They are experts in global communication and marketing projects and insight identification and naturally find creative ways to tailor their bespoke approach to their client’s needs playing a critical part when adapting brand messaging to meet local cultural distinctions.

Working closely with the CEO and CSD, the Business Development Manager will drive high level growth initiatives and experiments, and who will collaborate with a Content and PR manager and a lead generation agency to feed into the business’s growth objectives. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for building relationships with key contacts to ensure everything is on the pitch list for relevant opportunities, and coordinate introductions supported by the appropriate expert specialists from within the business. Our client is aiming to grow the team – currently supported by two interns and a Content & PR Manager – within six months to one or two permanent team members based on the growth achieved within the time frame.

Some of the Business Development Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Seek out, open and qualify mainly outbound new business opportunities across global marcomms, product development, insights, DEI, HR, L&D and respond and qualify inbound new business opportunities, but to a lesser extent.
  • Initiate and liaise with your colleagues to develop sales, business development and marketing strategies and act upon them.
  • Identify – opportunities and future review timings through direct research and attend appropriate networking and industry events.
  • Support on initial face-to-face meetings and qualification calls, and follow this on by nurturing and maintaining contact with prospects through to conversion.
  • Build the quantity and quality of new business in the sales funnel so that the required number of opportunities in the pre-sales process are maintained, and to manage all inbound leads and opportunities, ensuring RFIs and RFPs are qualified by the team on time and managed into the conversion team for response

Is this you?
The Business Development Manager brings with them 2-3 years (min) direct sales experience within a similar sector, and their skills to influence relationships and deliver relevant proposals to the business, and a proven background in selling to senior managers and C Suite level contacts of global brands and agency clients, as well as business development and conversations in the insights/creative/marcomms field with global brands is essential. They have knowledge of procurement technologies and standard platforms, as well as standard office technologies, together with a high standard of professionalism of strong written and and verbal communications.
